Director: 'Rapist views reflective of attitudes to women'
The director of the 麻豆社 4 Storyville programme 'India's Daughter' told the programme she was surprised the words of rapist Mukesh Singh had shocked the home minister as people 'everyday how a woman should dress, how her movements should be restricted'.
"This is totally reflective of the common culture attitude to women in India and other parts of the world," she said.
A Delhi court has blocked the film "until further orders" after police said Mukesh Singh's "offensive and derogatory remarks" were "creating an atmosphere of fear and tension with the possibility of public outcry and law and order situation"
