There is a saying apparently in the top marinas of Florida and Nice these days: there are two kinds of people, the haves and the have-yachts. The number of dollar billionaires exceeded 1800 last year, and as the super-rich get ever richer, their boats get more expensive too. It's said the world's first billion dollar yacht is currently under construction. Ed Butler visited London's inaugural Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show, in the company of Oliver Holroyd Pearce of Yacht Investor Magazine.
