Writing to the Man who Assaulted Her
Earlier this month a twenty year old woman Ione Wells, a student at Oxford University, was walking near her parents' home in London when she was sexually assaulted. A man pulled her hair, smashed her head against the pavement and grabbed her breasts. Her neighbours heard her screams for help and she was able to escape. A man was caught on CCTV and was arrested that same night. She then wrote an open letter to the man who assaulted her, saying that she isn鈥檛 a victim and urging people to continue fighting against assault. It鈥檚 inspired a campaign called Not Guilty. Ione Wells, who has waived her right to anonymity, explains why she wrote this letter.
