English folk musician Steve Tilston will soon be seeing himself played by Al Pacino in the film Danny Collins, which premieres later in May. The film follows the true story of John Lennon writing an inspiring letter to a young Tilston in 1971. But the correspondence went astray and did not reach Tilston for decades. In fact, the 65 year old only learned of the letter's existence by chance in 2005 when an American tracked him down to check its authenticity. Tilston shares his story.
