Jason Gillespie says he was 鈥渇lattered鈥� to be considered for England鈥檚 head coach role.

Speaking to Phil Tufnell, Michael Vaughan and Mark Chapman, the former Aussie cricketer said: 鈥淔rom a personal point of view I saw it as a massive positive. I was flattered to be thought of highly enough to be spoken about in that role. I saw it as a win-win.鈥�

鈥淚 never felt for one minute I had anything to lose. I had everything to gain.鈥�

When asked whether Kevin Pietersen was raised an issue, Gillespie replied: 鈥淣o it wasn鈥檛. The stance was made very clear over what was going to happen. Categorically that wasn鈥檛 an issue.鈥�

But the big question: England or Australia to win the Ashes?

The 40-year-old took his time before saying Australia.
