Frankie Dettori: Derby nerves make it hard to sleep
Italian jockey Frankie Dettori tells 5 live Sport that pre-Derby nerves give him sleepless nights.
His comments are in anticipation of the Investec Derby taking place at Epsom this weekend which Dettori has won once.
鈥淚t was the one that eluded me for many years, and I wanted to win it so badly so I had some sleepless nights.鈥�
鈥淵ou can ask - why do footballers get excited before the FA Cup final or Formula One drivers before the Monaco Grand Prix? It's a big thing for us鈥� It's why we get up in the morning,鈥� added the 44-year-old.
