Alright John Humphrys, there's no need to get in a flap about it!

Nearly a quarter of a million of us voted to find Britain鈥檚 favourite bird and the results are in. The pecking order as follows:
In third place: Blackbird
Second place: Barn Owl
And in first place, by a large wing span, is the Robin redbreast.

John talks to David Lindo, ornithologist and the man who launched the Vote National Bird Campaign to find out why we love them so much.
