The Canadian-born tenor Jon Vickers - who has died at the age of eighty-eight - is considered one of the greatest opera singers of the twentieth century. The widely-admired British baritone - Sir Thomas Allen - knew Jon Vickers well. He's been sharing his memories of the man and his music.
