Sarajevo Orphan: My family, the enemy
Oggi Tomic is now a successful filmmaker based in the UK, but he didn't have the best start in life: born in Bosnia with water on the brain, his mother abandoned him, and he was placed in an orphanage for disabled children. At the age of six, when they realised there was nothing wrong with him, he was transferred to another orphanage in the town of Zenica. But at the age of eight he ran away and ended up in Sarajevo at the height of the siege of the early 1990s. Little did he know that his real family were just behind the frontline...
