Aziz Ansari: Future TV comedy will have ‘more minorities’
Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari says there will be more opportunities for US actors from minority backgrounds, as fewer white men are in top creative positions.
Parks and Recreation star Ansari, who is now starring in and producing his own show Master of None, said it was currently still rare for US TV shows to cast more than one minority in a leading role.
However, he said with “more minority show runners and creatives and directors, things would change.
“They're gonna tell their stories and our stories by nature are gonna have more minorities in them and more people that look like us, he said.
