Celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke says he did not tell a newspaper that only men look attractive with grey hair and that it would be a "disaster" if the Duchess of Cambridge did not dye her roots.

He told Phil Williams the Daily Mail quoted him incorrectly: "There are men that look good with grey hair and there are women that look good with grey hair. I said that I think it's better that she actually has it covered."

“I think any young woman that has got some grey hairs, it seems a ridiculous thing to say that she should suddenly not do anything… you could ask why does a makeup artist cover up uneven skintone?" he added.
