The British tourist rescued from a remote area of northern Australia after he wrote an SOS in the sand has said he won鈥檛 be going swimming again.

Geoff Keys, 63, was attempting to find the Eliot Falls in Queensland鈥檚 Jardine National Park when he lost his way in July.

Helicopter rescuers who saw his giant message in the sand said it had probably saved his life.

鈥淚鈥檓 travelling round the world on my motorcycle and I鈥檝e been in some tough positions but this is the one occasion where I wasn鈥檛 with my bike,鈥� Mr Keys told Today.

鈥淚 won鈥檛 be going swimming again!鈥�
