A university professor who appeared as a regular guest on the TV station where two journalists were killed during a live broadcast has paid tribute to their "hard work" and "enthusiasm".

WDBJ7 TV reporter, Alison Parker, and her cameraman, Adam Ward, were shot as they conducted an interview in Virginia.

Professor Robert Denton, who once taught Mr Ward, called them "fantastic young professionals".
