Hundreds of people have turned out to applaud migrants arriving in Munich in southern Germany.

Anna Foster spoke to one German woman who said it is an "act of humanity" to greet people as they leave the trains.

Some of the passengers have been travelling for days. One man said he has made the journey from Syria, through Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary and Austria before arriving in Munich.
