'Some of our genes are missing'

But don't worry, scientists say, we can still function normally. One of the astonishing findings of the most comprehensive study of the human genome ever done, is that a sizeable minority of people are walking around with some of their genes missing. But it has no apparent ill-effects! Dr Evan Eichler of the University of Washington is co-author of the study and has been explaining to Bola Mosuro how this is possible.
