The rugby star and his daughter's doll

After captaining his team to victory in the National Rugby League Grand Final, indigenous Australian Johnathan Thurston invited his daughter onto the pitch to celebrate with him. She was clutching a dark-skinned doll and the photograph went viral. Brad Walter from the Sydney Morning Herald explained why.
