The Turkish air force has attacked Kurdish militants a day after twin bomb attacks on a rally for peace in the capital Ankara. Planes attacked Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) targets in both the south-east and over the border in northern Iraq. Earlier thousands of people had gathered in Ankara, to mourn the victims of the bomb blasts. The government says at least ninety-five people died. The pro-Kurdish opposition party, the HDP, says the number of those killed was more like a-hundred-and-twenty-eight.
Two days later, no one still has any idea who carried out the bombings. Guney Yildiz is a Turkish affairs analyst at the 麻豆社 and discussed what we know about who might be behind the bombings.
