Democracy versus Dictatorship
There was a huge amount of interest on the 麻豆社 World Service Facebook page and Twitter feed on the comments made about Saddam Hussein and Colonel Gadaffi by the US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump. He suggested the world would be a better place if those two leaders had remained in power in Iraq and Libya.
So would those two countries be in better shape had the two dictators remained? Newsday hosted a discussion between Lina Khatib, a researcher with a group called the Arab Reform Initiative and former 麻豆社 news correspondent Humphrey Hawksley, who has written a book entitled "Democracy Kills"
