Insurance premium tax rise
From 1 November Insurance Premium Tax rises from 6% to 9.5% on motor, pet, health and contents and buildings insurance.
The governments expects it to raise an extra 拢1.5 billion.
The Association of British Insurers believes some families will see their overall cost of insurance rise by 拢100 a year
