Sir Elton John says his charitable foundation is to donate 拢3m to improve access to HIV therapies for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Africa. His contribution will be matched by the US government, as part of a joint initiative to focus on vulnerable groups in sub-Saharan Africa. Sir Elton also said he is currently arranging to meet Russian president Vladimir Putin to discuss LGBT rights. As well as discussing his family and life in England.
