‘It’s their vaccine’: good news on meningitis immunisation
According to the World Health Organisation Meningitis A has been viritually elliminated in 16 African nations thanks to immunisation campaigns. They also warn though that if routine immunisation stops then there could be 'casatrophic consequences' by 2030. Dr. Marie-Pierre Preziosi, director of the Meningitis Vaccine Project for the WHO, spoke to Newsday.
