Audrey Gbaguidi on her music and dreams
Singer and actress Audrey Gbaguidi was born in France to parents from Togo and Benin. She spent several years working with Nigerian afrobeat drummer Tony Allen and has also been involved with the Africa Express project.
Recently she had a concert at the British Library, in London, dedicated to the late Togolese diva Bella Bellow. When she came to our studios to record a few Bella Bellow songs for 麻豆社 Africa, our colleague Manuel Toledo asked her when she started singing.
