‘A sense of dignity in death is being denied Greeks’
With burial space for the bodies of the deceased at a premium in Greece (both in terms of space and cost), and cremation not an option due to the lack of facilities and opposition to the practice from the Greek Orthodox church, the emotional and financial cost on Greeks trying to find a resting place for the remains of their loved ones is taking its toll. Chloe Hadjimatheou reports from the Greek capital, Athens.
