The superheroes of the animal world which are almost indestructible
They have 8 legs, they鈥檙e tiny and love moss. The microscopic organism the 'Tardigrades' can survive extremes of drought, radiation, pressure and temperature (although they can be squashed to death easily). A team of American scientists has uncovered one of their secrets: almost one-sixth of their DNA is foreign. Professor Bob Goldstein from the University of North Carolina led the research and told Newsday more.
