China's $60bn fund for African development; attack in Burundi, 16 killed in Egypt attack.
China has announced US$60billion in extra funding to support development in Africa. A senior police officer in charge of special units set up to protect government institutions in Burundi, General Christophe Manirambona, has been the target of an attack.
