Burundi government reacts to ongoing violence
Protests in Burundi erupted after President Pierre Nkurunziza announced in April that he would be seeking a third term in office. Opposition parties said that violated the constitution but following a failed coup d'etat, Mr Nkurunziza won the controversial elections. Almost every day there are tit-for-tat killings and attempted assassinations. The 麻豆社's Nkem Ifejika is in the capital Bujumbura where he met Willy Nyamitwe, spokesperson for the President. First what does he make of the ongoing violence?
