UN officials say aid convoys are expected to reach the besieged Syrian town of Madaya near the Lebanese border, on Monday. More than 40,000 people are living in desperate conditions in the rebel-held area. At the same time, food will also be sent in to 2 villages encircled by rebel forces, in northern Syria. Meanwhile, Zaher Sahloul, head of the Syrian-American Medical Society has told Newsday the challenges the starving people in Madaya are facing:
