Guinea Worm Disease is on course to be eradicated
Only 22 cases were reported in 2015, a significant drop from the 126 cases in 2014. Dr Donald Hopkins, Special advisor for Guinea Worm Eradication at the The Carter Center - the organisation leading the fight against the disease - is hopeful that the disease could disappear next year.
