Head of UK's armed forces faces "knife fight in a phone box"
Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat believes "the internal fight is in many ways the hardest one". Prior to becoming an MP, he was military assistant to the chief of the Defence staff and worked with Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, who will succeed retiring General Sir Nicholas Houghton as chief of the defence staff.
