Google tax deal: UK 'becoming tax haven'
The back-tax agreement between Google and HMRC shows that the UK is becoming a tax haven, Eva Joly, vice chair of the Special European Parliamentary Committee on Tax Rulings, has told the Today programme.
"Today you have to do a lot of calculation to know whether the deal that was struck with Google is a bad deal. I can tell you, it is a very bad deal," the French Green MEP said.
"It shows that UK prepares itself to become kind of a tax haven."
