Syria: "Relief alone doesn't answer the problem"
Leaders from Europe, the US and the Middle East have arrived in London ahead of a donors conference aimed at tackling the humanitarian crisis in Syria. Helen Clark, Head of the United Nations Development Programme, tells Newsday that long-term development assistance is needed to support education and economies, in order to avoid an "underclass" of people emerging in the region.
