The Pope's intimate letters
An investigation has unearthed 100s of letters between Pope John Paul II and a married woman, the Polish-born philosopher Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka. The two were friends for 32 years and were clearly very close. The 麻豆社 has seen an archive of letters that Anna-Teresa sold to the National Library of Poland in 2008. Pope John Paul died in 2005 and was made a Saint in 2014. Ed Stourton has been investigating for the 麻豆社 documentary programme Panorama.
