Is Somalia right to ban signs in English?
In Somalia's capital Mogadishu, a new rule for businesses came into force on Monday - take down signs written in English and replace them with Somali.
Newsday's David Whitty spoke to Abdul Omar Xalane, spokesman for the Mogadishu municipality, to find out the thinking behind the change.
