What sound do deep water fish make?
Deep down in the oceans there are billions of fish, jellyfish, and squid who hide in the dark depths during the day, and rise up at night to feed near the surface. As they ascend in huge crowds, they make quite a noise.
Newsday speaks to Simone Baumann-Pickering, a biologist from the University of California, one of the team who recorded this phenomenon for the first time.
