Giant rats sniff out landmines
Trained rats successfully clear out minefields in Mozambique, Angola and now they are in Cambodia. It turns out giant rats have a remarkable skill to safely clear large areas filled with deadly mines. Apopo is an organisation that trains rats for various purposes including land mine clearance and Paul McCarthy is the programme manager.
