Home alone
The British advocacy group Overseas Development Institute says that at least 35 million children , under the age of five , are being left at home without adult supervision, while their parents go to work or even emigrate to find employment. Maria del Carmen Munoz left Bolivia to find work in Spain, in 2006. She's been there ever since, sending money back to the five daughters she left behind. At the time, the eldest was 15, the youngest, just 2 years old. This is what she told 麻豆社 Newsday.
