Children's writer Jill Murphy on elephants and motherhood
2016 marks the 30th anniversary of a classic children's picture book, Five Minutes Peace, by Jill Murphy. The book introduces us to a family of elephants, the Larges, and Mrs Large who longs for a moment of quiet to read the paper and eat cakes in the bath. It's sold over 5 million copies worldwide and been translated into 19 languages. Weekend's Paul Henley spoke to Jill and asked her when she started writing the series.
