Nadal on Sharapova: 'Now she must pay for it'
Rafael Nadal says Maria Sharapova “must pay” for her “negligence” having failed a drugs test.
Former world number one Sharapova tested positive for the prohibited substance meldonium at the Australian Open in January.
The drug was only added to the banned substance list this year.
Nadal did admit to never reading World Anti-Doping Agency documentation as he has “full confidence” in his doctor.
The 14-time Grand Slam champion also took the opportunity to address speculation he has used performance-enhancing drugs during his career, saying he was "a little bit tired" of the rumours, adding: "I am a completely clean guy”.
