Big Que is a 26-year-old rapper, originally from Galway in Ireland, who's now living in Worcester.

As well as being the "king of open mics" in the city, he's played a number of shows in Chicago after meeting a US hip hop producer online.

One of Kidderminster's biggest music promoters, John Coombe, has died this week at the age of 71.

John was well known for bringing U2, UB40 and the Simple Minds to play at the town hall after watching some of his favourite groups play there in the 1960s.

He later went on to write the book Get Your Kicks On The A456.

Live Music: The Roving Crows

They're one of the liveliest acts in our area and this week the Ledbury band, The Roving Crows, have been playing live on Âé¶¹Éç Hereford & Worcester.

This must-see group, with roots in folk and Celtic music, are renowned for their high-energy performances - pulling together funked up traditional tunes and catchy original songs.

The band underwent a massive line-up change last year, which has seen their sound being taken to new levels.
Ìý
When they're not busy playing festivals all over the UK, they're busy organising them - and are currently curating the stages at - which moves to the site of the former this coming August.

This month's sessions were recorded at The Swan in Stourport.

The venue has recently become a music hub for the town after being bought by Matt Worley who runs the Strings & Things store next door.
Ìý
The performance area is decorated with amps around the stage and bar, music memorabilia across all of the beams and vinyl records fixed to the walls.
Ìý
Matt was also instrumental in bringing a trade fair to Stourport last year at the town's Civic Centre and he's now looking to open a dedicated function room at The Swan, complete with a restaurant and rock 'n' themed hotel suites.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks theyÌý.

Doors open at 2pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up any time until 7pm.
