French-Algerian group Temenik rocks London stage
Temenik is a French-Algerian rock group made up of five members. The group just wowed its growing legion of fans in London, for the first time, over the weekend. The band mix traditional North African music known as Rai and Gnawa with western rock influences from their French hometown in Marseille. However, their flamboyant sound may take some getting used to by lovers of Maghreb music. The 麻豆社's Nora Fakim went to check them out
