Over the past century, the rare yellow-eyed penguin - native to New Zealand's South Island - has survived both deforestation and a massive fire. But now, their outlook is bleak. Conservationists say only about 2,000 of them are still alive. We heard from Fergus Sutherland of the New Zealand Forest and Bird Protection Society who has been the caretaker of a penguin reserve for 25 years.
