Bishop Steven Dami Mamza works in Yola, the capital of Adamawa state, in the North East of Nigeria. It's an area that has suffered regular attacks by Boko Haram. But the city has become a safe haven for people from all over the north who lost their homes or had to run because of the threat of Boko Haram. But as such it has had to deal with a huge influx of people looking for a place to stay. At the height of the crisis in the beginning of last year, the displaced people in Yola outnumbered the 400 000 locals - some claimed one million refugees were looking for shelter. Newsday visited St Theresa camp, run by the Catholic church.
