New Chilean Film On Exiled Catholic Priests
A new film by Chilean director Pablo Larrain tells the story of a small group of disgraced former Catholic priests living a quiet life in a small Chilean beach town, in an attempt to purge terrible sins they've committed in the past -- including child sex abuse. But their past comes back to haunt them in the form of a 'crisis counsellor' dispatched by the Church to check up on them.
Weekend's Julian Worricker has been speaking to Pablo Larrain and asked him why he was keen to tell a story of exiled Catholic priests - why did that appeal?
