A new twist in the dispute over one of the world's most valuable jewels
The 108-carat Kohinoor diamond is one of the world's most famous and valuable jewels. It is currently in the Tower of London, part of the British monarch's crown jewels. It has been a cause of friction with many in India saying it belongs to India and that they want the jewel back. But now in a surprising development India's Solicitor General has said it was actually a gift. 麻豆社 Newsday's Lawrence Pollard spoke to our reporter in Kolkata, Rahul Tandon.
