Josie Long talks about the history of housing and fluctuating property ownership. Before WW1 almost everybody rented. Today forecasts suggest that by 2025 we may again be renting. Mortgage lending is much stricter and house building is below the level that experts say we need to keep up with the growing population. This makes it all the harder for people to get on the housing ladder.
