Nigerian senate seeks death penalty for kidnappers
Is this the right way to tackle a recent increase in the number of abductions for ransom? Dr Jibrin Ibrahim is a fellow at the Centre for Democracy and Development in Nigeria. He thinks this is not the answer. In fact, he says the increase in kidnap cases signals a collapse of policing in the country and this is what needs to be addressed.
