Are your pets sun ready?

Pet owners are being told they need to do more to keep their animals safe in the sun.

The PDSA says its pet hospital saw 29 cases of skin cancer last summer, the majority being cats.

David Hooper owns a veterinary practice in Lincolnshire, he said "We used to see the odd case [of cancer] now and then, but we're seeing more every year".

Hooper said owners should apply water-resistant sunscreen to their cats' ear tips, on their noses, and just behind their nostrils.
