Is there anything more British than a nice cup of tea? A bad day, a terrible shock, a World War - a cup of tea is what you need.

But as a nation, we are drinking far less tea; about half what we did during World War Two. Although, as Dan Damon reports, while we may not be downing the quanti-tea, we are going for quali-tea.
