Jim Naughtie on Trump's Mexican wall plan
One of Donald Trump's key election pledges is the building of a wall along the US/Mexican border - to keep the immigrants out, and to be paid for by Mexico.
The border is two thousand miles long - and the six hundred and seventy mile stretch built by the Bush administration cost 2.4 billion dollars. So pro-rata the Mexicans would have to pay about seven billion dollars. What are the chances of that?
Jim Naughtie sent his views on the issue from California for Broadcasting House.
