Arts correspondent Rebecca Jones talks to Jonathan Coe about his latest state of the nation novel, Number 11.

Although the book has a political theme to it, the other strand to the story is a relationship between two young girls. Despite growing up together, they have very different lives - one tries to make a living as an artist, and the other one goes to Oxford University.
